In my humble opinion, the new horror movie, "Final Destination: Bloodlines" is the first mainstream motion picture to have both lead actors of Filipino descent (part Filipino) - Kaitlyn Santa Juana and Teo Briones - to star and carry the entire film with Filipino culture sprinkled in!

Edwin's Filipino Hollywood Actors Panel Returns To FilAm Creative With 10th Edition

After five years (since 2018), the newly branded Filipino Hollywood Actors Panel (formerly FAC Actor's Panel) returns to where is debuted - at FilAm Creative.
Founded and produced by a returning Edwin A. Santos (2015 - 2018; 2023 - present), the Filipino Hollywood Actors Panel is a panel discussion and networking event featuring special guest panelists representing the craft and business of acting across the board while shining a spotlight on North American Filipino talent in Hollywood today.

In 2019, Edwin joined the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Hollywood (FACC-Hollywood) and became one of its original founders and a Board of Director. He produced four Filipino Hollywood Actors Panels from 2019 to 2022.
  • The live in-person 6th edition with Rodney To, Jason Rogel, Joy Regullano and JB Tadena held at the Secret Rose Theater in North Hollywood, California.
  • The virtual 7th edition with Amanda Joy, Alain Uy, Tamlyn Tomita.
  • The virtual 8th edition with Deedee Magno Hall, Earl Baylon and Lou Ticzon.
  • The virtual 9th edition with Martha Millan, Melody Butiu and Carolyn Fe.

 - CAROLYN FE is a late-blooming Filipina-Canadian, award winning tri-lingual Actress (English/French/Tagalog), an award winning Singer-Songwriter-Lyricist and a former contemporary Dancer-Choreographer.

At an age when her peers have long established themselves or are thinking of retiring, Carolyn’s continuous pursuit of artistic evolution adds new instruments to her creative portfolio as a Writer and Playwright. She is currently in two residencies developing plays; one about reincarnation and another one based on a horror short story she wrote.

​Some TV/streaming credits include Lola (Grandma) in the Nickelodeon children’s show “Blue’s Clues & You!” and Madame Z in the award winning French series “Meilleur Avant”. Some Theatre credits include: Calpurnia (Nightwood/Sulong), Hilot Means Healer (Cahoots), Through the Bamboo (Uwi Collective), and Three Women of Swatow (Tarragon).

 - MARTHA MILLAN is an Australian Filipino raised in Sydney. She was recently seen in the feature film "The Drummer'', with Danny Glover, and prior to that, on the network anthology series "Two Sentence Horror Stories" and the premium cable series "Succession."

Enthralled after doing her first play in high school, Millan studied at The University of Sydney and then New York City, where she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

She made her daytime television debut on the soap opera "As The World Turns." She was also seen on "Strong Medicine and in a memorable role on "Third Watch." Additional TV credits include "Madam Secretary," "The OA," "Entourage," and "S.I.S.," as well as the "Law & Order franchise, including "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Law & Order."

On film, she appeared in "My Dead Boyfriend," opposite Heather Graham. Other film credits include "The Great New Wonderful," opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jim Parsons, and "Falling For Grace."

While appearing in many national and international commercials, Millan also has modeled extensively throughout the United States and the world as one of the worldwide faces of Clairol Natural Instincts and the face of Nooch, a restaurant in New York City.

 - EDWARD J. MALLILLIN (moderator) is a professional storyteller and educational advocate. He is the writer/director of the acclaimed feature film "Brown Soup Thing," as well as producer & host for the web series "Flipped Switch" and series/podcast 'Rise & Shine.' He is an active member in the Education and Asian-American communities, serving on the Board of Directors for FilAm Creative, an organization he co-founded, as well working with schools in the improvement and implementation of STEM-related curriculum for students in underserved communities, and creating content through his blog. His next project, "Rumor on the Playground," is an in-depth comedic look at what's wrong with schools.

- ALAIN UY is a Chinese-Filipino American actor born in Dagupan City, Philippines and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 6. He has four siblings. At the age of 11, he earned a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was nationally ranked in 1990 in the ATA International standings. Early in his career, Alain was also an accomplished dancer and musician featured in several music videos with Jennifer Lopez, Jadakiss, and Anastacia.

During a study abroad program at Oxford University, he developed a love for theatre and acting and that became his primary focus. His acting career began modestly, booking guest starring roles on "The OC," "Monk," "ER," and "Parenthood" just to name a few. Eventually, he started booking recurring guest star roles on several notable TV shows such as HBO's "True Detective," Fox's "The Passage" and "Grimm." More recently, Alain is set to recur alongside Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carrell, on Apple Plus' new Emmy Award Winning TV series "The Morning Show."

Coming up, Alain will be starring as a series regular on Hulu’s exciting new show "Marvel’s Helstrom" and nabbed the lead role on Bao Tran’s upcoming feature film "Paper Tigers," starring alongside Ron Yuan (Disney’s Mulan) and Jae Suh Park (Netflix’s Friends from College).

​- TAMLYN TOMITA made her feature film debut in a leading role in "The Karate Kid Part II," and later was in both leading and supporting roles in the films "Come See The Paradise," "The Joy Luck Club," "Picture Bride," "Four Rooms," "Robot Stories" and "The Day After Tomorrow," just to name a few.

She also has played several recurring roles on television including "24," "Glee," "Teen Wolf," "How To Get Away With Murder" and as Commodore Oh on the CBS All Access streaming series "Star Trek: Picard" (2020). She starred on the UPN paranormal series, "The Burning Zone" (1996), the Epix drama series "Berlin Station" (2016), and in the ABC medical drama, "The Good Doctor" (2017).

JOY REGULLANO
She is best known as 'Maeve' when she guest starred on the CW's 200th episode of "Supernatural."  Her other television credits include Showtime's "House of Lies," the CW's "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," FOX's "Raising Hope," the CW's "90210," ABC's "Castle" and CBS' "Happy Together." She is also an avid writer to include her viral video, "White Fetish." Currently, she is a staff writer on a new kids show for Netflix.

He is currently recurring as 'Johnny Bayani' on CBS' "SEAL Team" which was renewed for a second season. His other television credits include ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and CBS' "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "Hawaii Five-0."

She is a music teacher, vocalist producer and television personality, Annie (aka Roxanne Nepomuceno) is Managing Director of Music Arts Events - the umbrella company of Music Arts Lessons which covers her private teaching and coaching, and Musica Manila as music publisher.
